Viking Tech was established in October 1997 in Taiwan, as a leader in the design, manufacturing and marketing of Thin- Film /Thick-Film integrated passive devices and discrete passive components.
To meet more and more demands of further miniaturization and higher frequencies of passive components, they developed innovative technology, combining the technical advantages of thin film processes and low cost of thick film processes to develop unique Precision Resistors, Current Sensing Resistors and RF inductors. Viking has quickly become one of leading manufacturers of ultra-precision resistors, manufacturing tolerances down to 0.01% tolerance and TCR’s down to 2 ppm.
With leading edge technology and competitive costs, the demand for Viking products has grown rapidly. With an aggressive capital investment plan to increase capacity, Viking continues to offer the shortest lead-time in the market. They have an aggressive global expansion plan, utilizing reps and distributors in many major electronics’ markets and have set up US and Chinese offices to better service the North American market and China. In 2009/01/01 they had their strategic partner, TMTEC, merge with them. Thus taking advantage of their thick film production base and network.
Viking is consistently improving quality of products and aims to offer various choices to customers all over the world. They are now developing ultra small size 01005 in order to satisfy new challenging demands from customers..
DMTL began their relationship with Viking in 2008, initially working through another UK distributor.
DMTL’s unique position as the leading Passive Design Distributor in the UK, was recognised by Viking, who appointed DMTL as the Sole Agent and Distributor for the UK in early 2014.
Since that time Viking have gained AECQ qualification on many of their products and carried out significant new product introduction leading to design wins across the market. DMTL now designs and supplies these items globally, covering applications including RF, Power, Automotive, Health Care, Lighting and GPS.
